If you have a question that you don't see answered here then please shoot me an e-mail at: Andrea@BlueLacePhotography.com
Who will my photographer be and how many people will be there during the shoot?
I will be the only photographer there, and no one else will be there without your permission. Generally it's just me though.
What is your Boudoir style?
I love soft classic femininity and it's what inspires me as far as boudoir goes. But as long as it stays classy I love trying new things.
How much editing do you do?
I do minor retouching like skin smoothing, blemish removal, and possibly some small tucks here and there, but rarely. I will only edit something out if it distracts from you.
Where will we be shooting?
That is totally up to you! The only thing that we need is good natural light and preferably a bigger room with room to move around in. If you don't think a room in your own house will work then renting a nice hotel room is a great option. If that is not in the cards then ask a friend or family member if you might be able to use their room/somewhere in their house for just a couple hours. We could also do a beautiful shoot outside in a privet area.
Should I bring my own clothing and/or props?
Yes! I might have some props that I bring a long that you are welcome to use. Clothing is all up to you and any other props that you think might be fun.
Do you do Couples or Male boudoir?
The answer in short is no. There are plenty of photographers out there that do though. I know there is beauty and creativity in both but I do not do them because I am not comfortable with them. I cheer you on if you want to do it though! =)
Can I bring a friend to hang out?
Sure! If they help you feel more comfortable and at ease then by all means. If they might make you feel distracted or self conscious though, have them sit it out and share your photos with them when you get them back. And because of the nature of the shoot I ask that only female friends are brought along. We want you as comfortable as possible.
My friend wants to do a boudoir shoot too! Could she come along and do a shoot as well?
Yes! You each would pay for your individual shoots but that is a lot of fun! It's a great way to share the cost of a hotel room too, or to help each other with hair and make up. I will not photographed friends together, but I'm all for friends supporting friends and making it into a girl's day! =)
Is it ok if my friend brings a camera and takes a couple shots too?
Because of the nature of the shoot it is not ok for anyone else to be taking pictures at our shoot. No camera's, camera phones, or video recorders of any type may be used during our shoot. It is my responsibility to keep my clients and myself legally protected so there will be no acceptations.
Will I have a say of how my images are used?
Yes! I understand that it's such a personal and intimate thing and I respect that. I retain the rights to use images where you can't be identified (like legs, backs, or hair) but otherwise I'll ask for you to look through your finished images and let me know what ones you would be comfortable with me using. If there are none that is totally fine. You have a 100% control over images that show your face or any other identifying things (like tattoos).
How long will it take before I will see my images?
About 2 to 4 weeks.
I'm ready to book! Where should I go from here?
Go on over to my Contact Page and shoot me an e-mail or give me a call. I will send a contract over to you, have you read over and sign it, and then send it back to me with a 50% deposit to book your session. The remaining balance of the shoot is due at our shoot.
